THROUGH THE COTSWOLDS
Elegant Excursions takes you through some of the most beautiful countryside in England. The route follows the western edge of the idyllic Cotswold Hills, passing through the delightful country stations at Winchcombe and Gotherington, to the world famous Cheltenham Racecourse, taking in stunning views of the distant Malvern Hills and Vale of Evesham along the way.
FIRST CLASS DINING
Elegant Excursions has an enviable reputation for high quality cuisine. Our delicious lunches and dinners are freshly prepared and cooked by our on-train Chef, and served to you in our luxurious dining carriages.
OUR SATURDAY EVENING SPECIAL EVENTS
Why not join us on one of our very popular Special Events? We have nights of music to suit all tastes. Whether it be Jazz, 40s/50s Big Band Sound, or 60s/70s music, we have a night for you. For something really special, join us on our Night at the Proms‟, which includes a firework display to end the evening. Music appropriate for the event is played on board the train throughout the evening while you are enjoying your dinner.
 During the course of the evening, we stop at a Station for you to enjoy live music played by a professional band, under the cover of the Station canopy. They are all nights to remember!
During 2010 we introduced a new Murder Mystery troupe and a fantastic night was thoroughly enjoyed by all on board. It is an evening not to be missed and is returning this year.
Christmas-time is special to us. We have two Christmas Sunday Lunches and a special Christmas evening dinner - we are often told by our guests that this is where their Christmas really begins.
On boarding the train around 6.30 pm for a 7.00 pm departure, you will be warmly greeted by the Train Manager, offered an aperitif, and escorted to your reserved table. We will return you to your station of departure at around 11.00 pm..
THREE COURSE SUNDAY LUNCH
As you board the train at 12 noon, you will be warmly greeted with an aperitif and escorted to your table. Then relax and enjoy a traditional three course Sunday Lunch. Drinks may be pre-ordered at the time of booking, or when you are seated at your table. Whatever you decide, we are there to make your trip a memorable one.
THE COTSWOLD BELLE
If you would simply prefer a leisurely ride through lovely countryside whilst enjoying a delicious 3 course Evening Dinner, then the Cotswold Belle is perfect for you.
AVAILABLE FOR PRIVATE HIRE
Why not charter the Elegant Excursions train for that special occasion? Perhaps for an Anniversary, special birthday, or a wedding reception. We can cater for up to 100 guests either with a set meal from a menu of your choice, or with a sumptuous buffet .
This year we plan to include in the train a special Saloon Coach, once used by Royalty , and which will be available for hire independently for a day or evening event.
